That guy is a pain if you don't have a ranger or mesmer to interrupt. I've only done THK without a mes/ranger once, and he was indeed hard without interrupts, but we beat him anyway. Eles' meteor and meteor shower do the occasional knockdown, and basically you should just keep hitting him and he will go down...my group eliminated every single enemy, boxed the monk in, and then all focused on him while there were no other enemies around to hurt us.

emmm, the boss have to stay?
its not realistic if you are the 'invinseble' god or something like that.
(howdja spell invinseble anyway? )
I think its more fun if there are bosses way beyond the normal human beeing!
that makes guildwars a challenge!
you should think about that boy!

Yup, Mesmers drop spellcasters hard and fast.
However, I agree with the people who comment on PvE enemies having infinite energy. I just capped Aura Of Faith in Ice Flow off a Monk Mursaat boss, it took over 20 minutes for my team(henchies) to wear that [email protected] down. I would personally like to try out an energy denial build in PvE, unfortunately, it's pointless and ineffectual.

Yea, same here, but I was thinking this may be part of the bonus. But, I feel this mission is relatively easy. I failed a couple of times as a lvl 16 necro with henchies. But once I hit 17 or 18, it was cake.

The bosses are chosen randomly from 6 mursaat bosses - you got lucky I guess - the monk can be a pain. Quite doable, but a pain. Challenge is good though.

You lost all credit there, test these things. I have, fortunately, played edenial in PvE. A mursaat spellcaster (not sure if its diff with ele but monks and nec do) has approximately 100 energy points. Orison costs 5, so he wont run out. You can, however, drain his energy using edenial and get him to 0.
But sersiouly, the mursaat monks only have orison. One skill. One.
Diverrrrrrrsioooooooooon!

Don't light the beacons and don't do the bonus and you will find it easier. It wasn't hard for except for those that lit the baecons and ran around with heads cut off when the musraat came. You must remember the King is not infused.I capped Aura of Faith at that boss has 3 skills iirc including the elite although I did this in Ice Flow.
Here is what that Monk Boss has for skills.

change the monks name to ragnar stoneplate or w/e that piece of cake elementalist boss is and switch their spawns, so that, if done correctly, you can fight him whilst there are no other monsters.

THK is easy, there is a screenshot somewhere of someone doing it with an empty skillbar and henchmen.

If you think TK is hard, wait to try and do the last three missions.
TK is preview of the teamwork you need to be able to move on further.
I do agree that TK is a pain to do with random pugs, but stick with it and you will get a good one eventually, or try henchmen.

I had a random pug for THK just the other day. It was flawless. Everyone worked together, everyone listened. And now I have to do it over again because of the rollback.

They should make Great Northern Wall the level of THK and scale the rest accordingly. Spinal Shivers and cold damage absolutely rapes casters, bosses included. Mind you, if you're not bringing a necro and/or mesmer to THK, you deserve to lose. Over and over and over.
Yes, it can be done without thse classes. I recently completed it with 4 warriors and only Lina along. Our healer monk disconned before we entered the keep. But having either one, or both preferably along make it so much easier for even mediocre PUGS to beat it.

It's actuly easier to light the beacons then haul ass back to the king. The Mursaat fight the tundra giants. Both sides manage to kill a lot of each other off. Just don't agro them, which is why 99.999% of PUGs fail the bonus, miserably.

Yes, remove one of the few instances in the entire game where its difficult to muscle your way through. oO Interrupt skills ftw... see also Mesmer, Ranger, and Warrior skill list at the very least.

Well, monk bosses may be difficult to defeat even with a mesmer. But, in Thunderhead Keep with my mesmer I think that it is the Warrior boss the most difficult to beat.
Thunderhead Keep mission is difficult not because the mursaat bosses, but, because enemies coming from two sides, the team may get splited, then monks may not be able to heal, and players may not be able to concentrate for attacks. A hint is choosing ranged skills or some speed boost, I think.
Another hint, is having a caster all the time in the west ballistas, at least. And keep attention from where are coming enemies, before they go into the fort.
And, by the way, in my view, the weakest point in Thunderhead Keep mission is King Jalis, as he may go into the heat of the fight, and, also, because a single mursaat's Spectral Agony may kill him or make him near to die...
